Dear Hardy Families,
Whether this will be your first year at Hardy Elementary or you are returning to our school community, the staff and myself would like to extend our warmest welcome. I could not be more excited to be working alongside Hardy's amazing staff and wonderful families.
This is my twenty-second year as an educator and my twenty-first year with South Lyon Community Schools. After graduating from Alma College, I taught at Brummer and Hardy Elementary Schools. During this time, I obtained my Master of Arts in Curriculum and Teaching from Michigan State University and an Education Specialist in Educational Leadership from Oakland University. After teaching a variety of levels from fifth grade to first grade, I was hired as a principal in Wayne-Westland. I was then the principal at Bartlett Elementary for six years. It continues to be a pleasure to be in South Lyon as the principal of Hardy Elementary...Go Huskies!
Hardy Elementary is an incredible school with a strong focus on teaching and learning. I look forward to working with you so that we can continue our journey toward student success.
