Welcome

Welcome to a virtual look at our outstanding school! Our school is filled with many unique and special children who fill our halls and classrooms each day with life and love.

It is with pride that I share with you that we have a truly amazing and talented staff assembled at Hardy Elementary. You have entrusted your child to us and we accept that responsibility with great care and commitment.

It is my goal that the year ahead will allow your child to grow, learn and engage in an exceptional learning environment. The Hardy Staff and I are committed to bringing this goal to fruition.

You are a welcome partner in the education of your child…we welcome you to the school and hope you will involve yourself in many ways.

Warm regards,
Emily Testani, Principal

Our School
Hardy opened September of 2004. It is a state of the art educational facility serving 650 students across the district. The community’s support of  a school bond  in 2000 made this opening possible. Hardy Elementary is named after a former teacher and principal with South Lyon Community Schools. Sharon Hardy spent 32 years committed to educating children in the district. Sharon Hardy’s life-long commitment to the education of all students is still at the heart and mission of our school.

The staff at Hardy Elementary is comprised of dedicated professionals: teachers, secretaries, building engineer, custodians, paraprofessionals, playground/lunchroom supervisors, and food service workers, who work as a team to make Hardy a safe and happy place for students to learn.

School Improvement Goals
The AdvancED Accreditation model for continuous school improvement requires schools to engage in a process of examining data, setting goals,  along with reflecting on feedback from all stakeholders.  To see our institution profile on AdvancED please check our page on the International Registry for Accreditation.

Our school is Accredidated through AdvancED. We encourage you to become familiar with our progress and goals, by reading our school improvement (SIP) report and annual reports, available in our school office.

Hardy Elementary utilizes a variety of assessments to improve instructional delivery. Some of these are teacher generated, some are district generated, and others are State standardized tests.

At Hardy, we believe...

-All students have value

-It is the purpose of the school to teach kids how to think

-That relationships are imperative for growth

We know that it takes effort from all stakeholder groups to meet our mission and the goals we have for our students.  We look forward to partnering with you and working with your child!
