Determining Eligibility
                The Seal may be awarded to high school graduates receiving a high school diploma, high school certificate of completion or high school equivalency certificate and who have demonstrated Intermediate High proficiency on acceptable world language assessments.

Assessments for Demonstrating Proficiency
                  Assessments of non-English language must meet the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Language (ACTFL) criteria of Intermediate High or equivalent (  Students must show proficiency in all four domains of language: Speaking, Reading, Listening and Writing.  Students may demonstrate proficiency in a non-English language in the following ways:
  • AP Test
  • STAMP or WorldSpeak online assessment
  • Foreign Transcripts
  • Individualized Seal of Biliteracy Plan by Committee (for languages not represented in the assessments above)
