      - Age of Enrollment Michigan’s Revised School code specifies a child must be 5 years old on or before September 1st in order to be eligible to enroll in Kindergarten/Junior Kindergarten. The age waiver below is required if the parent or guardian wishes to enroll the child in Kindergarten /Junior Kindergarten and the child is not yet five years of age on September 1, but will be five years of age on or before December 1.
