                           Background Information:  A retirement necessitates the hiring of a History/Psychology teacher at South Lyon High School.

                  

Recommended Action:         Approve the hiring of Alicia Colley effective September 16, 2013.

                           Background Information:     Program needs necessitates the hiring of a Coordinator of Special Education.

                          

                           Recommended Action:         Approve the hiring of Amy Atwell effective November 1, 2013.

                           Background Information:     Kent Lake Elementary received a gift of various school supplies with an estimated value of $6,000.00 from the New Hudson Walmart.

                          

                           Recommended Action:         Accept the gift in accordance with policy 9350.

                           Background Information:     The proposed policy revision was brought to the Board at the October 7, 2013 meeting.  No changes were requested.
