Bartlett Expectations
Consideration
- We believe that when we treat each other kindly, we will have more friends, get along better, and be the people we want to be. Consideration means showing compassion, saying only good things about and to other people, and helping other people when we can. As we work together and cooperate, we will listen to each other, share ideas, and each member will do his or her part to help each other learn.

  • Students will show respect for others.
  • Students will use proper language (no swearing, rude or vulgar gestures).
  • Students will respectfully follow directions of all adult staff members.
  • Students will speak softly in the halls and cafeteria.

Conservation - We believe that our property and our environment are important, and we will take care of them. Conservation means we recycle, are not wasteful, don't destroy things, or take things that don't belong to us.

  • Students will care for property.
  • Students will not damage, destroy or steal property.

Responsible Learners - We believe that when learners use their best effort and attempt all learning experiences we will have better quality work and learning. When community members are prepared for the school day, learning experiences are more meaningful for all.

  • Students will be courteous in the halls, cafeteria, and on school grounds.
  • Students will have permission and get a pass before leaving the room.
  • Students will remain in their assigned location at all times.

Safety - We believe that when we learn and work best in a school where no one get hurt. Safety means that we are careful with materials and equipment and not to hurt our self or others. We solve our problems by talking them through, not fighting.

  • Students will not fight (physical assault) or play fight or encourage others to fight.
  • Students will keep hands, feet, and objects to themselves.
  • Students will walk in the halls, on the bus ramp, and on the school grounds unless given permission to do otherwise.
